HELP!!

I am so happy that little Mack is here and is healthy and all is well. I have so much to be thankful for but I think I am experiencing the baby blues. I am trying so hard to adjust to being home all day with just me and Mack. I think I cried for the first time today. I don't want to take Mack out into the cold to get sick. Any help from all you wonderful mothers out there?

Take him out! Bundle him up and get out of the house. There is nothing wrong with that. In fact, in Iceland they leave their babies outside bundled up in stollers while they go in to eat (saw it on Oprah). My doctor recommended walks and everything. Just dress him really warm.

DITTO! I totally agree. Girl, get out of the house! If you're up here, put him in the stroller and walk the track at the Legacy center. He'll enjoy being pushed around and you'll feel good doing something for yourself. And then come visit me!!! :)

Hey, don't feel bad about the baby blues. That is totally normal. I think I cried almost every day for about 2 months after Parker was born. Not real sure why. I too was worried about taking him out (these winter time babies are a little harder...try spring next time! :) ) Anyways, I agree with the others, don't get home bound, just get out and do something for yourself. I used to go to my mom's a lot when everyone was healthy, or I'd just go for a ride in the car or go to the mall and just walk or something. We're all healthy right now if you need somewhere to get away to. Or, when Rock gets home, leave the baby with him and go do something with your sister's or mom or a friend or something. I used to do that a lot too.

Shanie, I am so excited for you!! Your baby is a doll. I was so happy when I finally got a chance to check your blog today cause i had a feeling I would get to see your cute little bundle. I think everyone gets the baby blues a little bit, it's such a change in your life...even if it's a great one it's still so different and your hormones are still getting back to normal. I agree with everyone else. I was walking my babies around the block or at the mall or whatever the same week they were born(of course that was March, but March in Logan is not that warm) Anyway, I would try to get out a little bit, it helped me a lot, especially when I was a bit overwhelmed!! ~CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

Shanie, your baby is adorable. SOOOOOOOOOO (forever O's) cute.
I hope you did get out and walk. All of the advice was great and I agree with it all. I really liked to let my mom watch Chloe and then I would go to the store or once I just drove myself and got an extra creamy delicious shake. Made me feel better!!
