NEW TAG!!

I decided to create my own tags about pregnancy, labor and being a mom. I want to remember as much as I can so this will help me and then I can put it into my journal. I hope you will all answer these questions also.

#1 Tag-PREGNANCY!!

1. What was your reaction when you found out you were pregnant?
Shocked-it was unexpected. I had a feeling I was pregnant so during my lunch at work
I took a pregnancy test I took it 3 times before I finally realized I was really pregnant. I felt very excited, nervous, overwhelmed, relieved. I think it finally set in that I really was pregnant when I went in for my first doctor appointment and saw the picture of a baby in my belly. I really felt like I was suppose to be a mom at this time and this little person was ready to come into this world.

2. What was your husbands reaction?
So excited. He has always wanted to be a dad. I wanted to tell everyone on mother's day but he couldn't wait. We found out I was pregnant the end of April.

3. Who did you tell first?
His family, my family, friends. I didn't tell my work until the last day of school and I told them I would be done working in December.

4. How was your pregnancy-aches, pains, sickness, etc.?
I hate to answer this questions because I know friends and family who get really sick. My sister was on a pick line-IV-for most of her pregnancy because she was so sick but for me I never really got too sick. I had some nauseousness at night the first few months. I did go the bathroom alot during the whole pregnancy. Anyone who really knows me knows I have a tiny bladder so you can imagine being pregnant for me was a trip to the toilet every 30 minutes or less.

5. When did you first feel the baby?
about 4 1/2 months. For me it felt like butterflies in my stomach and then the kicks with the legs and arms got harder and more frequent especially at night. My baby was a mover that is for sure and he still is today. Mack is a wiggly baby even when he sleeps at night he is constantly moving his head back and forth and moving his arms and legs.

6. Did you find out what you were going to have and tell about the ultrasound experience?
Yes, we found out it was going to be a boy. Rock knew it was a boy from the start and he knew we were going to name him Mack. The ultra sound was amazing to see all they could see about your baby and the development of him. I cried.

7. What shocked you the most about pregnancy?
How much my body changed and how many different emotions I could go through in 2 hours. Plus I was tired all the time which was hard with working. I exercised but I could run or walk like I use too. It took me 20 minutes to do one mile. swelling ankles was another surprise. my bra size also increased!!

8. What did you crave?
Pineapple, pineapple, pineapple, 2:00 am was peanut butter sandwiches and lunch was cucumbers in vinegar.

9. When was your due date and when did your baby come?
My due date changed for the first 7 months going from Dec. 28th, to the 25th, 17th, 26th and finally being the 19th. Mack came on the 20th. funny thing is Rock my husband told me he had a feeling he was coming on the 20th. Rock also thought I was going to have a 9 lb baby. luckily Mack was 7lbs.

10.
What was the best thing about being pregnant-the worst thing?
the best thing would have to be the overall feeling of knowing you will be a mom soon. When the baby would kick and your husband would rub your tummy.
The worst was the uncomfortable you felt toward the end. Sleeping was hard as was putting on socks, shoes, shaving, etc.

What a great idea for a post! I always love reading about people's pregnancies. I'll have to fill this one out too(if you don't mind!) :) I always think it's funny to hear about people's cravings. Uh...pineapple? Sick! Just teasing--but, if you'll remember--I do NOT like pineapple. At least it's a healthy food though--unlike my cravings for bread and tacos. That's crazy how Rock was right on with it being a boy and the due date. I'll have to ask Elliott if he's having any intuition with ours...
