So yesterday I had one of those days that you want to forget but instead I am writing about it. Writing tends to help me relieve some of the stress I feel (venting) and hopefully I will look back on this day and laugh.
We are trying to get Mack off the bottle and it is going well except in the morning when he wants it first thing when he wakes up. The night before I did not get any sleep. Maybe 2 hours at the most. I am sick with the cold and flu. Mack decided to wake up early and doesn't want his sippy cup. So I decide to just get up and start the day earlier than usual to get his mind off of his bottle. As I go to pick him up he and his sheets are covered in pee. His diaper feel off and he was soaking wet. Got him naked to go take a bath and he peed all over me. As I was putting in the bath water I notice poop all over his legs and back. So I followed a trail of poop from downstair, up the stair and in the kitchen. I hurried and cleaned up the poop and gave Mack a bath and dressed for the day. As I was cutting up veggies for the soup I was making for dinner I saw Mack sitting in a pool of milk. He had taken his lid off his sippy cup and poured his milk all over the kitchen floor and was sitting in it playing. So I took off his clothes and dressed him in a onsie until I got done with the veggies. After I was done I heard Mack gruntting and looked over to see poop all over his onsie. It was runny and all over him. So back in the bath and another outfit on. (This all happened from the hour of 7:30 am to 9:45 am) Nap time came finally but he decided he only need a 1/2 hour nap and is screaming for the other 1/2 hour while I was trying to nap.
Afternoon I was running late trying to get all the laundry done and finish my all day cooking soup. I needed to take Mack to my aunts because I needed to go to work. So I am late for work and as I get in the car, again the sippy cups spills milk all over the seat. I clean it up and now I am 15 minutes more late for work. Get to work and employees are complaining about doing a little extra work to help get set up for Jr. Jazz. My job is to supervise and make sure all goes smoothly with referees, coaches, players, etc. The 5:00 and 6:00 games flew by no problem. The 7:00 game not so good. A player was playing under the bleacher, hit his head and had a huge gash. He was bleeding all over. There was blood under the bleachers and all over the gym floor. About 3 minutes after that another kid hit is nose on another players head and is bleeding also. What a mess! Those poor kids. Between filing incident reports to save our butts from getting sued, cleaning up blood and keep the games rolling I was exhausted and my body was aching. I could wait to get home at 10:00 pm, eat and hit my pillow. Hope the next couple of days are better!
It is hard being sick and being a mother.

Oh man! I am so sorry to hear how awful your day was. There must be something in the water with all the crazy poopy stories lately...(with Mack, Ellee and some of my other friends' kids too!) You're right about being sick and trying to keep up with kids--it's hard! I hope you're feeling better!
Amen Sista!!!! I hate being sick as a mom. I hate it even worse when my kids are sick but still. I hate that no one gives me a break when I'm sick yet whenever anyone else (ahem....Caleb) is sick I have to do EVERYTHING. Aaaaahhhhh.. I feel better. Thanks for giving me a place to vent too. :)
Yuck on the poop stuff. Parenting leaves no dignity.
You poor thing! I hope you have a better day and get feeling better soon. I have realized that if you don't have your health, you don't have anything. Good luck!
I for sure feel your pain. I am soo sorry!! Some days I wake up looking forward to when I get to go to bed!!
