Gunnar/Gunnar & Mack

I have to blog about how Gunnar got his name. His middle name Kale is after my dad. The moment I knew he was going to be a boy I knew I needed to name him after my dad. My dad had all daughters and no one to pass his name on to. My dad and I have not always had a good relationship but over the past couple of years it has improved. A month before we had Gunnar we were at my parents house. Someone asked Mack what was in his mom's tommy. He said baby Kayson/Gunnar. We had not told anyone the names we were thinking about. It was between Kayson and Gunnar. Then Rock asked Mack what do you want you brothers name to be Kayson or Gunnar. He said loud and strong Gunnar, Gunnar, GUNNAR. We decided to see when Gunnar was born if he looked more like a Kayson or Gunnar and Gunnar won. So in a sense Mack named his new baby brother!




We made it two weeks! He is doing great and has gained weight so Breastfeeding is going better than I thought.



Mack has been struggling a little with getting use to someone taking some of his mom's attention. He stills Gunnars pacifer and tried to hide it. He doesn't like it when he cries and he is starting to be more and more whinny. He has been in timeout a lot more these past two weeks and mom has lost her patient with him due to lack of sleep and Mack getting in to trouble while I am feeding.

This picture is of Mack talking to Gunnar while he was crying. I was trying to get him talking but when Mack saw the camera he turned around and posed. I have five pictures trying to get him to turn back around and talk but each time he saw the camera he turned and posed.




P.S. This post was started at 9:00 am and was not finished until about 4:00 pm. Busy days filled with diapers, laundry, feedings, and trying very hard to catch a 10 min nap.
