December Fun!!

This is a long post about our events for December.

I love the Christmas season. I pretty much love the months of October, November and December, December being my favorite. I love Christmas music, love the lights on houses, love my home decorated in Christmas things, love being with family. We had lots of fun this month and I am sad to see it end.

First on our list was the Walker Party. This is my Great Grandmothers party and she is still alive at 92. We have the party at the Orem Institute at UVU. The party starts at 9am and we have breakfast. The highlight of the party was when the LDS Singers sang Silent Night for the Family. What a great way to start off the Christmas season with the focus on the Savior.
Five generations...My great Grandma Walker, my Grandma Carter, my mom, me and Gunnar!

Mack with Santa...well almost the real Santa

Next we celebrate the November December birthday's by going bowling, to dinner at JCW's and then to my aunt Shar's for cake and ice cream. Mack's birthday is on the 20th so he got a truck from the his buddy Hunter.

The Love;ess crew...my cousins

Gunnar at 2 months. Has no idea what is going on this time of year but is so fun. He now coo's and smiles all the time. Love this age. Still little but so alert and recognizes his mama! Apparently he has a small head. His head is only in the 3%. He weighs almost 12 lbs.

Mack excited about his gingerbread house. For Grandma day this month the kids go make gingerbread houses and to see Santa. Mack couldn't go because he was sick with a fever of 105 so grandma had to make his house for him.

Next it was off to Mack's cousins in Springville to celebrate his cousins Kai birthday on the 18th. Had dinner and donuts with lots of fun!

Next day we headed to Temple Square to see the lights. Trax train was packed, Mack was not happy and not being very helpful in being happy, temple square was packed and the whole time Mack kept asking, "Want to see Jesus." Couldn't get close enough to see the statue in the North visitor center because of all the people and couldn't see the Nativity either. Too many people. I was so frustrated but as we left Mack said bye Jesus, bye Temple. I guess he does understand what we were there for so it was all worth the 10 seconds when he said those phrases.

Thanks aunt Lyndee for coming with us. Mack and Lyndee waiting for Trax train in the cold.

We celebrated Mack's birthday with his cousin Dykell at my mom's house eating pizza and opening presents.

Mack blowing out the candles on the awesome cake my sister Katye made.

Mack's friend Preston came to play for a few hours on the 21st

Opening his white elephant gift at our Carter annual Christmas Eve party. Mack got M&M's, I got old hand video games, and Rock got toilet paper and raisen's with a note saying hope your holidays and merry and regular. the best present given was a set of dentures. my cousin walker moved into my grandpa's brother's home and found the dentures in one of the bathroom's.

Christmas morning brought lots of presents and the realization that we are very blessed.
My boys Christmas morning

Every Christmas morning my mom has breakfast at her house and makes her awesome Christmas casserole. We usually open presents and then eat but this year my dad had to work so we had to wait until 6 pm to open presents.

Mack and his buddy Hunter. Hunter is so great to play with Mack even though Hunter is 13 and Mack is 2. Mack loves his buddy!

Last party was the Gillman party in Spring City on the 27th.

Gunnar hanging out with Papa...my dad.

I can't believe how much my dad looks like my Grandpa Gillman. He died in 1988 but my dad reminds me of him. Don't get to see this side of the family much but it is fun to get together with them and play games and eat good food.

How come every time somebody is holding Mack in a picture it looks like he's trying to get away. It sounds like you guys were way busy but had a ton of fun. That's awesome!
