OuR WeEk...

This week has been full of fun for our little family. I have been praying lately that I can find joy in motherhood and in my kids and really my prayers have been answered in many ways but we still have much to learn in the parenting department.
Monday I took the boys to my work at the Legacy Center in Lehi for a couple of hours swimming. They loved it and Mack is getting more and more brave with being in the water. Tuesday we went to a favorite park of mine in Cedar Hills. That night I went with my family to an adult dinner at Tucano's. Between Rock eating lots and lots and the waiter it was a fun night. Honestly, I know Rock and I have been married almost 5 years and I still don't know how he can eat all he does. It still amazes me.
Wednesday we went to the splash park in Highland with my sister and her kids. Mack and Jex played great together and Gunnar really is content playing with himself.
Thursday after Rock got home from work we went to the Scera Park to play and then to get slushies. I love these nights being with my boys just enjoying the summer nights.
Friday, in the morning we went to Seven Peaks. I have been meaning to take the boys there all summer but was nervous about going by myself with two boys. Boy I am so glad I didn't attempt to do it by myself. With Rock and I there it was still a challenge. Gunnar just wanted to be by dad the whole time and Mack wanted to go off and be by himself. He is getting so independent, but I still need to keep and eye on him. Gunnar was done by noon and let everyone in the park know he was ready to go home. The kid really has a high pitch, loud scream. He scream the whole way around the lazy river. Friday night we went to Rock's brothers for dinner and a game of whiffle ball. Mack got to sleep over outside in the tent. He loved it and kept telling Rock and I that we were NOT staying and that we needed to go home.
Tonight we are off to Rock's work party at the Lehi outdoor pool for some more swimming fun and a BBQ.
What a great week this has been. I know summer is not over for us but it just feels like it is what with everyone going back to school next week.
