One Sunday afternoon after church we decided to take a trip to see the Draper Temple. It was very cold weather so we didn't stay long. And really this temple doesn't have much of temple grounds to walk around.
Kids love bath time with bubbles!
A friend of mine wrote an insight about her children that I love. She has 6 girls and just adopted a little boy. Check out her awesome blog at http://www.pink-moss.com
These are my words coming from her insight.
One thing I have learned over the course of having children is to start and believe in myself...in the answers and promptings I get for my children and not worry about how other people would do it or what they think about my parenting. I am the only mother of these two boys, and I am the one that knows them inside and out. From the minute they were born, I have been interested in their well being. I am learning that you have to parent each child different. When they get older they may not think this is fair, but this is what it is. I remember feeling frustrated watching my parents, parent my younger sister. She got so much more as I got the brunt of being the oldest. But this is how it is.
I am the one who recieves inspiration on what is best for them. I, along with others have no right to tell you how you should raise your children. That is not my right.
Now on a lighter note...
I have to write down some of the funny things Mack has been saying lately. I want these to remain in my memory forever as he is growing up so fast and I am afraid I will forget them.
"Mom can we go "springing" today?" I told him a few weeks ago that it would soon be spring and we could go out and play. Now when we go outside to play we are going "springing"!
The other day while driving in the car I asked him what he wanted to do today. He said, "let's go to the city."
Whenever Rock and I go anywhere or he goes to primary, day care, a friends house, etc. he always needs a kiss and hug and he tells us to "Be careful and not to worry about it." The other day he told Rock he loved him more because he loved him like Jesus!
Everyday he takes off his shirt and Gunnar's shirt and want to wrestle!
In Primary during snack time Mack will finish his snack and then go around to the other kids in his class and ask them if they are done eating. This is just like his dad at the dinner table.
He is so excited to start preschool in August. We took the registration paper to his teacher the other day and he handed the paper to Ms. Kelley and walked into her house. He was ready to start that day!
Mack we love you and you make me laugh daily!
Recap of yesterday and today...
Two good days...
Yesterday we went to play group with other kids Gunnar and Mack's age in the ward to the park to play. It is so nice to have adult conversation with other mothers! Then it was off to go swimming with my sister and her kids and my mom. Mack use to fear the water but now he loves it.
Today we had lunch with my mom and sister and her kids and then Mack headed off to Grandma Day. They went and played laser tag. Mack loved it and when he got home we was so tired. My mom said he just hugged everyone and said I am so glad it is Grandma Day! He loves it. He drank 2 gallons of water and went to bed!
