Conference Weekend

I love conference weekend! I love the peace I feel when I listen to the messages shared by our prophet and apostles. A week before it was the young women conference and since I serve in the young women I listen to those messages. I learned what benevolence means (kindness) and made a resolution to be completely honest and true in all I do. Especially honest with my kids. If I say something I will try and make it happen to the best of my ability and I will not be telling them something just to get them to be quiet but I will give them an honest answer whether they like it or not. From conference I am going to work on disciplining my kids behavior and not their character. If they are fighting I will discipline the fighting and not tell them they are bad boys for fighting. I will strive to come to a point that tithing will be a privilege to pay. I loved Elder Holland's talk and felt peace at knowing I am trying hard. It brings me comfort to know that these wonderful leaders are not exempt from the trials of life and they face some of the same things we go through, diseases, financial issues, family problems, etc. I am so grateful for their service and faith. I use to come away from Conference feeling very overwhelmed with all that I need to do but these days I just feel peace. With all that is going on in the world and in family life and challenges we still can find peace and know Heavenly Father loves us!
