Catching up...

Have much to catch up on the happenings of the Ellison home these past two weeks. My pictures are not the best as my camera is broken. The screen that shows me what my pictures look like has broken so I am taking shots and guessing where to point my camera and I can't change the lighting aspect so lots of shadow faces.

Me and the boys along with our neighbor took a trip to Thanksgiving Point for $2 Tuesdays Aug. 23, to the Children's Discovery Park. Fun for the kids not so much the adults. Very hot and crowded. This first picture is of Mack on a big rock.

Really, I took more pictures just didn't turn out.

For Uncle's Zack's birthday who passed away in December (Aug 26th) we decided to go and do something that Zack would love to go and do. So we loaded up 8 kids with uncle Skeeter, Rock and I and went to Strawberry Resevior for some crawdad fishing. But first we had fix a flat tire on our way to the lake.

Pretty entertaining with 8 kids, lots of stuff and three adults trying to figure out how to get the spare tire out from under the suburben.

We caught about 6 crawdads in the hour we were there. Mack loved to look at the in the bucket. We cooked them up later that night and some of us...not me ate them.

Mack's first day of Preschool was on Tuesday the 30th of Aug. He loves it so far. He goes from 9:30 to 11:45 every Tues. and Thurs. two houses down from where we live which works out great! I really can get a lot done in the two hours he is gone. When I ask him what he learned in school he tell me "I don't know"

This picture is proof they did something

On Friday the 2nd of Sept. we decided it was time to buzz Gunnar's hair. I was tired of the rats nest and the baby curls are all gone now so it was time. He looks so much older.

On Saturday the 3rd of Sept. we went the DriggEllison's baptism. Mack and Gunnar are so lucky to have good examples to follow. After wards they had a luau party to celebrate.

On Labor Day we did a couple of fun family outing. In the morning we went to Lehi Trafalga but after just and hour and many many people later we went home took a nap and then headed up to Stuart's falls in Sundance. Mack was a great hiker.

So sad to see summer end but we are ready for fall and are excited for the leaves to change and the Holiday season to kick into gear. Time marches on whether you are ready or not. I have loved summer being with my kids! My questions have been answered. Is this the life I was suppose to lead? Was I always ment to be a stay at home mom, a wife? Was the trials I am experience now, the trials I have experienced and the trials I am yet to experience just for me. Yes, although hard at time to accept and understand, and faith tested at times, doubt creeping in, this is the life I was ment to live. The trials are mine to help me become a better, happier person. And I am grateful!
